Pokémon TCG Pocket is gearing up for one of its biggest updates yet with the launch of Shining Revelry, a brand-new booster set arriving on March 27, 2025. This update introduces Shiny Pokémon, a ranked matchmaking system, and the long-awaited Paldea region, bringing fresh excitement to the game.
Shiny Pokémon Make Their Debut
For the first time in Pokémon TCG Pocket, players can collect Shiny Pokémon cards, featuring Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu as headliners. These cards will not only sport their signature alternate color palettes but will also sparkle when tilted, adding an extra level of flair for collectors and battlers alike.
If you’re a fan of the Shiny aesthetic, a limited-edition Shiny Charizard display board and binder will be available starting April 1.
Ranked Matches Arrive
Pokémon battles in TCG Pocket are about to get more competitive with the introduction of ranked matches. Starting on March 27, players can climb the leaderboard, earning seasonal emblems to display on their profiles. The first ranked season runs until April 26, giving trainers a chance to prove their skills in the game’s competitive scene.
Welcome to Paldea
Fans of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be happy to see the Paldea region finally making its way into the game. Shining Revelry introduces Paldea’s Pokémon and trainers, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and the fan-favorite streamer-trainer, Iono.
Trading System Changes Coming
Alongside this major content drop, the developers have confirmed that changes are coming to the trading system, which has been a controversial topic among players. While details remain vague, adjustments will be rolled out gradually, so it remains to be seen if these updates will satisfy the community.
Get Ready for the Update
With Shiny Pokémon, ranked play, and the first-ever Paldea-themed cards, Shining Revelry is set to shake up the Pokémon TCG Pocket experience. Mark your calendars for March 27 and get ready to build your decks with these exciting new additions.
